What is sustainable development?

Sustainability is growth that meets the needs of the present without exposing the capacity of future generations, thus ensuring a balance between economic growth, environmental care and social well-being.

What is sustainability?

Due to economic growth and globalisation, this word was born as a concept that appeared for the first time in 1987, through an environmental report, trying to find possible solutions to the problems derived from industrialisation and population growth.

How can we achieve sustainable growth?

Many of the challenges facing human beings, such as climate change, water scarcity, inequality and hunger, can only be solved globally and by promoting sustainable development, social progress, environmental equality and economic growth.

The United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda, which has the Sustainable Development Goals, a set of common goals to help protect our planet, ensuring the well-being of all people.

Achieving these goals requires the active participation of individuals, businesses, administrations and of course all countries around the world.
